Dada’s Choice – Location:
As far as I know, they have multiple branches around Calvo and also in Daang Kalikasan, both in Mangatarem, Pangasinan. Mangatarem is quite big, but it is accessible and near the road, so it is not going to be an issue to go there.
Location 01: Brgy. Calvo Mangatarem, Pangasinan. Landmark: between Centrum Gasoline Station & Zsanitize Auto Carwash.
Location 02: Daang Kalikasan Chill Top Hilera Daang Kalikasan, Mangatarem, Pangasinan.
Ambiance:
The first time I was there, it was quite cozy, and the walls are made of bamboo, so there is ventilation. Although I haven’t tried it during summer, that cannot be helped; the place is cool enough to enjoy. I have seen at least 20 people tops in the place, and they also have al fresco, which is good. The parking space is decent.
Menu Variety:
I have been there for quite some time now, and what they focus on is their chicken. I really prefer their soy garlic and buffalo. It has the right amount of heat and saltiness; the coat of their seasoning is just right. The rice is okay as well. It is not something special, but it is not an issue since chicken is what you get there. Check their menu on their Facebook page.
Quality of Food:
Unlike most chicken places I have been to, I would say that the chicken is decent. It has enough meat to savor both on the wing and its other parts. It is cooked to order and served piping hot.
Service:
Although there are some occasions when their staff is new, it is not something I have a concern about. Sometimes I go there at night after a long service, so I don’t really mind it. With more experience, they can be better. But for the food service and their busing of tables, I find it satisfactory.
Price:
The price is well documented on their menu, and it is satisfying. Around USD 10 for 9 pieces of chicken with fries is a decent amount. My worry is actually they might go out of business if they keep on doing unlimited rice, but they do, and I have no issue with the price.
Cleanliness:
When it comes to cleanliness, I can say that it is decent. Most people eat with their hands, as Filipinos commonly do. We have plastic gloves, so it is not an issue. Although a near sink would be nice, it is not an issue nonetheless.
Special Offers:
Right now, they have an unlimited rice or Pares soup promo for dine-in. I prefer to do takeout while watching Blacklist.
