Do people in your country send plants as gifts?
Yes, in my country, it’s pretty common to send plants as gifts, especially when visiting someone’s new home. Housewarming gifts often include plants because they symbolize growth and prosperity. It’s a thoughtful gesture, and a plant can really brighten up a space. I think it’s a great way to share a bit of nature with someone while also giving them something long-lasting. A beautiful plant can also be a conversation starter. It’s one of those gifts that keeps on giving as it grows and thrives in the new home. I’m all for gifts that have a lasting impact!
Do you know anything about growing a plant?
Not really, I’ll admit. Growing plants wasn’t something I had much experience with, especially since I’ve lived in the city for most of my life. City life doesn’t really lend itself to gardening or growing plants, unless you have a balcony or garden space. I’ve seen people take care of their plants, though, and I admire the patience it requires. I’m more of a “leave it to the experts” type—like a gardener, for instance. Growing plants is one of those things I’ve never really had the time to dive into, but I’d definitely be open to learning more if I had the space.
What plant did you grow when you were young?
When I was young, I remember helping my grandma grow some onions and garlic. She had a small pot for aromatics, and it was a really simple yet satisfying experience. I didn’t take care of them fully—my grandma was the one who kept them alive—but it was fun to watch them grow. Growing onions and garlic was something easy to do, and I think it helped me appreciate how things grow over time. While I haven’t done much growing myself since then, I still remember that small pot of herbs fondly. It was a little window into the world of plants!
Do you keep plants at home?
Yes, we do keep plants at home, but I don’t take care of them myself. We have a gardener who looks after the plants, and I’m okay with that. I enjoy having plants around because they bring life and energy to the space, but I’ve never been one to get my hands dirty in the dirt. It’s nice having greenery around without the pressure of plant care. We’ve got some nice indoor plants that really brighten up the home, but my gardener makes sure they stay healthy. I guess you could say I enjoy the results without the effort!
