IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Good View
- What is your favourite place? Why?
- Would you take photos when you see a good view?
- Have you seen an unforgettable and beautiful view or scenery?
- What is the view like around the place where you live?
1. What is your favourite place? Why?
Oh, that’s a tough one! If I had to pick, I’d probably say the beach. There’s just something about being near the ocean that makes me feel calm and energized at the same time. I can sit there and just watch the waves, listen to the sound of the water, and clear my head. Plus, it’s the perfect place to reflect on life, business, or anything really. You know, the beach gives me this feeling of freedom, like anything is possible. It’s a great place to unwind, gather my thoughts, and really just recharge. It’s got that balance of peace and energy that I love.
2. Would you take photos when you see a good view?
Oh, 100%. I mean, who wouldn’t, right? If I come across a breathtaking view, whether it’s a mountain range or a city skyline, I’m definitely snapping a picture. It’s kind of like capturing that moment in time—when you see something beautiful, you want to hold onto it, even if it’s just a photo. Plus, it’s always nice to look back on those photos and remember how you felt when you saw it. I’m not big on social media, but I do like keeping those memories. A good photo really does have a way of making you appreciate the moment even more.
3. Have you seen an unforgettable and beautiful view or scenery?
Oh, for sure! There’s this one time I was in the mountains, and I woke up early to catch the sunrise. The view was absolutely unreal—this wide, open valley, with mist floating over the hills, and the sun slowly rising above the peaks. It was like something out of a movie. Honestly, I just sat there for a good while, soaking it all in. It wasn’t just the view, but the whole experience of being in that moment. It made me realize how small we are compared to nature, but also how amazing it is to be able to witness something so beautiful. That’s one I’ll never forget.
4. What is the view like around the place where you live?
Well, where I live, the view is kind of a mix of urban and nature. I’m surrounded by a city, so there’s always that hustle and bustle in the background. But if you look in the other direction, you can see mountains and open fields. It’s a nice balance, really. Sometimes I’ll go for a walk and just take in the contrast—the busy city streets on one side, and the calm of nature on the other. I think having both views is great because it keeps things interesting, you know? It’s like you can switch between the fast pace of the city and the serenity of the natural world in just a few minutes.
