Did you ride a bike when you were little?
Oh, absolutely! Riding a bike was such a big part of my childhood. I remember learning with training wheels at first, and then that big moment when they came off—so exciting, but also a little scary! My friends and I used to ride around the neighborhood all the time. It felt like such freedom, you know? Oh, and we’d have little races or pretend we were exploring new places. It was just so much fun. Honestly, I think those were some of the best memories of growing up.
Are bikes popular in your country?
Yeah, I’d say they are, but it kind of depends on where you live. In cities, bikes are super popular because of all the bike lanes and rental services—like those shared bikes you see everywhere. People use them for commuting, especially in places with a lot of traffic. But in more suburban or rural areas, it’s more recreational, like for exercise or weekend rides. Oh, and cycling is a big sport here too, with lots of people doing long-distance rides or mountain biking. So, yeah, I think bikes have a pretty solid place in the culture here.
Do you often ride a bike now?
Not as much as I used to, honestly. I mean, I still enjoy it, but it’s more of an occasional thing now. If the weather’s nice, I might go for a ride around the park or on a trail nearby. Oh, and sometimes I’ll rent a bike when I’m traveling in a city—it’s such a fun way to explore, you know? But day-to-day, I don’t really ride much because I mostly drive or walk. I guess it’s just one of those things that I enjoy but don’t make enough time for.
Do you have a bike now?
Yeah, I actually do! It’s nothing too fancy, just a basic one for casual rides. I keep it in the garage, and I pull it out when the mood strikes. Oh, and I try to maintain it—like keeping the tires pumped and the chain in good shape—because you never know when you’ll want to use it. It’s nice to have, even if I don’t ride it every week. It’s kind of like a backup option for when I want to get outside and do something active.
Did you have a bike when you were young?
Oh, definitely! I had this bright red bike—I can still picture it. It was my pride and joy back then. I remember getting it for my birthday, and I was so excited. My parents even added a little bell and a basket, which made it feel so cool. I used it all the time, like to visit friends or just ride around for fun. Oh, and we had this small hill nearby, and riding down it felt like the best adventure ever. It’s funny how something so simple could make you so happy as a kid!
